Financial Advice
On 5 July 2005, Qantas Superannuation Limited (QSL) as Trustee of the Plan became licensed to provide general superannuation product advice. QSL will continue to administer the Plan and provide a variety of information to members through publications like the annual report, annual benefit statement, newsletters and the website.
The information contained on this website is provided to help members understand their superannuation entitlements in the Plan. The information is not intended to constitute financial product advice, general or personal advice nor can it take the place of such advice from a licensed financial advisor who understands your objectives, financial situation and needs.
The Trustee or its Representatives are not permitted to provide you with financial product advice or personal investment advice, so when considering any aspect of your superannuation we encourage you to seek professional advice from a licensed financial adviser.

If you intend to visit a financial adviser, ensure that they:
- are certified or have appropriate qualifications
- have, or their firm has, an Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) unrestricted licence to deal or give investment advice
- explain how they charge and inform you of any fees, commissions or other benefits they will receive as a result of their advice
- give you a clear idea of what services they will provide and how you will be kept informed of your investments
- have expertise in the areas of financial markets, fund managers, tax and the different types of investments and asset classes
- work for, or have an established business with a good reputation, where financial advice is part of core business
- give tailored, personalised advice, taking into account your individual circumstances, objectives and risk tolerance.
