The benefits of Qantas Super
Strong investment performance
Returns for our Glidepath: Take-Off option were ranked first over the 3 and 5 years to 31 December 2023 in the SuperRatings Fund Crediting Rate Survey: Default Options2.
It pays to join a top performer: investing in an underperforming super fund could mean up to $500,000 less in your balance at retirement3.
Insurance cover
Life can be unpredictable, so it’s important that you and your loved ones are protected if something happens to you. The insurance cover you can get through your Qantas Super account has been tailored for Qantas staff. This is important because it can be difficult for staff to get cover due to the unique nature of aviation roles, like cabin crew and pilots. Our insurance is designed with our members in mind – making it easier for you to get cover.
Super Advice
We know it’s hard to get your finances sorted when you’re at work all day, so we provide members access to financial advice about their super face-to-face at work, over the phone, and online at no additional cost.
From those simple questions about super, to the niggling questions that may be keeping you up at night, our friendly Super Advice team can help.
Competitive fees
As a not-for-profit fund, all fees go back to providing you with great products and services to help you manage your super, and we’re always looking for ways to improve and pass on any savings we can.
Our competitive yearly admin fee is a $70 fixed fee + 0.23% of your account balance (capped at $1,050).
How we stack up
As a not-for-profit super fund run purely for our members, we spend most of our time being concerned with what you think, not what others think. Still, it’s nice to be recognised for doing a good job.
We’re proud that our work for our members is recognised by leading independent research house SuperRatings year after year. By looking at our investment returns, fees and other factors, like the insurance policies we provide, SuperRatings has awarded us a ‘Gold’ rating for our super products and ‘Platinum’ for our pension products.
How to join
Forget the paperwork – joining is easy. All you need to do is fill out one quick form online and we’ll do the rest!
Important things to consider
Before joining Qantas Super, please read the Gateway Product Disclosure Statement and Insurance and Investment Guides to decide whether Qantas Super is appropriate for you. Glidepath is our MySuper investment option, and the default for Super Account members who don’t actively choose an investment option. We recommend that you consider taking financial advice before making any decision about transferring your superannuation, as this may affect fees and insured benefits which you currently have. If you need help with making a decision about joining Qantas Super, we can put you in touch with a financial adviser. Simple super advice over the phone is included as a part of your membership so there’s no extra cost.
